What you will study in Biology
Biology brings molecular mechanisms, organisms and ecosystems together. Learning is strengthened by clear diagrams, experimental controls and careful discussion of evidence.
Core subject areas
- Cell biology, genetics and biochemistry
- Physiology and organismal systems
- Evolution, ecology and biodiversity
- Experimental design and scientific reporting
Practical learning exercises
Practice works best when you first understand the relevant concepts, attempt your own response and then check your reasoning. Here are two examples of learning activities rather than completed assessment responses:
- Interpret a labelled pathway diagram and identify missing assumptions.
- Explain the purpose of a positive and negative laboratory control.
Find the right course and semester syllabus
Different institutions may use the same subject name for very different units. Before starting an assignment, identify your country, institution, degree, academic intake, semester or stage, module code and published learning outcomes. A current assessment brief takes priority over generic notes or an old sample paper. Compare your learning plan against our university directory, academic-session resources and study guides.
How we can support your learning
Subject guidance can include explaining models, discussing concepts, helping you interpret a rubric, reviewing a draft you wrote, or preparing practice questions for an independent project. We do not impersonate students or complete assessed submissions on their behalf. Use one-to-one tutoring to discuss difficult topics or send your course requirement for an appropriate study-support plan.
