Programming Help, Debugging & Code Mentorship
Learn to build, troubleshoot and explain your own software with concept-focused programming support. Topics include Python, Java, C++, C, JavaScript, SQL, web development, data structures, algorithms and computer science projects. Guidance is adapted to your course syllabus and existing knowledge.
How programming mentoring works
Start by sharing the question, relevant course code, expected behaviour, current code and error messages. Instead of replacing your work, the mentor helps isolate the root cause, compare alternative designs and explain the fixes. This gives you a reproducible understanding of your solution.
Common learning areas
- Python and Java: functions, object-oriented programming, file operations, exceptions and unit tests.
- C and C++: pointers, memory, standard libraries, data structures and debugging.
- Web development: HTML, CSS, responsive layouts, JavaScript, REST interfaces, accessibility and secure authentication.
- SQL and databases: relationships, constraints, queries, normalization and database design.
- Algorithms: complexity, recursion, sorting, searching, trees and graph traversal.
- Project development: architecture, Git, testing, reproducibility, documentation and viva demonstrations.
Preparing for a lab or viva
Maintain your own code repository, list decisions you can explain, test normal and boundary inputs, and record what you learned from each bug. We can review explanations and help you prepare for questions about your implementation, but final assessed work must be your own.
Find your course topics
Browse university course and semester guides, including selected BCA/MCA programmes and computing degrees. Because courses change over time, verify the exact syllabus for your session rather than copying an old laboratory sheet.
